Doctor-led employer-specific PEMEs and deployment medicals for oil & gas personnel, completed to the medical standard, form or testing specification required by the employer, operator or mobilisation provider.
Oil & gas companies, operators and contractors may require their own pre-employment, periodic or mobilisation medical assessment in addition to any statutory or industry certification.
These examinations are completed to the employer’s medical form or specification and may vary according to the role, location, project and deployment requirements.
An employer-specific oil & gas PEME is separate from an OEUK offshore medical. Where both are required, Marina Medicals can help identify the appropriate assessment pathway.
Medical assessment completed to a company, operator or mobilisation-provider specification.
The assessment may include clinical examination and additional investigations or functional testing according to the requested standard.
OEUK certification is a separate offshore medical fitness standard and should not be assumed to replace an employer-specific PEME.
Some workers may require an OEUK medical, an employer PEME, or both depending on their deployment.
Please send the employer medical form, testing schedule or mobilisation requirements before booking where possible. We can then confirm the required investigations, appointment duration and fee.
Oil and gas mobilisation requirements can involve considerably more than a standard OEUK medical. Employers, operators and projects may require their own medical forms, investigations, laboratory testing and additional fitness assessments before mobilisation.
At Marina Medicals, your employer, operator or project requirements are reviewed directly by the doctor responsible for your assessment and certification. Where possible, the required examinations and tests are completed during the same visit, with one point of contact throughout the process.
Depending on the specification, this may include physical examination, vaccination review, OEUK medical assessment, Fit to Train / CA-EBS assessment, Chester Step Test, ECG, audiometry, spirometry, blood sampling, drug and alcohol testing, colour-vision or greyscale assessment, focused mental-health or female-worker assessment, and other role-specific examinations.
Chest X-ray, laboratory testing and specialist investigations such as exercise ECG can also be coordinated where required.
Results are followed through to completion and employer, operator or mobilisation documentation is checked and finalised once all requirements have been satisfied. Where the required external results are available promptly, complex medical packages can usually be completed within five working days.
The exact assessment depends on the employer, operator, project and deployment standard. Marina Medicals can complete the specified medical examination and arrange additional investigations where required.
